NEW YORK (AP) - Detroit Lions rookie defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has been fined $7,500 by the NFL for his roughing-the-passer penalty on Cleveland quarterback Jake Delhomme. Suh grabbed Delhomme's face mask and twisted it. He wrapped his arms around the quarterback's head and slammed him to the ground in an exhibition game last Saturday. Suh says he didn't know Delhomme had thrown the ball before he hit him. Suh played at Nebraska and was the second overall pick in the April draft. The fine was a |

It's a two-way street.'' Suh, a high-profile rookie with the Detroit Lions, and Crick teamed up to make the Huskers hard to handle in the middle last season. With Crick as the anchor and more seasoned players available, Pelini predicts the defense can be even better than the 2009 group that allowed a nation-best 10.4 poi |

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - Rocky Boiman isn't going to get a chance to ease his way into the Detroit Lions' defense. It's going to be more like cramming for final exams in his days at Notre Dame. The veteran linebacker signed with the Detroit Lions earlier in the week and is scheduled to play in Thursday's final preseason game against Buffalo. ``We didn't bring him in here to stand around,'' Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Tuesday. ``He's here to play. We expect him to be out there against the Bills.''< |

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - The Browns expect the NFL to review the play in which Detroit Lions rookie Ndamukong Suh grabbed quarterback Jake Delhomme's facemask and violently flung him to the ground. In the second quarter of Saturday's exhibition game, Suh grabbed Delhomme by the face mask, twisted it, threw both arms around the QB's head and spun him to the ground. Suh was assessed a 15-yard penalty for the infraction, which seemed severe enough to warrant an ejection. Browns coach Eric Mangini said Monday t |
